La Luna Art Collective

Sherry Armistead
is a prolific and experimental artist based in Shelbyville, Tennessee. She works with an eclectic mix of materials, acrylic, watercolor, collage, mosaics, beads, vintage jewelry, bamboo, broken glass, sea glass, and magazine clippings, to create big, bold mosaics and bright, happy abstracts. Her process is never the same; sometimes a piece unfolds over weeks, while other times she becomes obsessed and can’t stop until it’s finished. Prone to upcycle and always curious and eager to explore, she often finds herself thinking about her next project. At the heart of her work is the joy of using bits and pieces of life, objects with history and sparkle, and transforming them into something vibrant and new.
