Founder and owner of La Luna Collective, Courtney Armistead has a rich family history of artists and artisans. For generations, the women in Courtney's family have created and curated exquisite visual art including paintings, drawings, collages, mosaics, and sculptures.
Currently based in Wartrace, Tennessee, Courtney works primarily in collage, acrylic, and oil, often incorporating found materials and personal ephemera into her pieces. She is influenced by the big, the weird, and the interesting.
Her art is grounded in gratitude and observation and her process is rooted in the rhythms of everyday life: weaving morning glory vines, greeting hummingbirds, and reveling in the simple joy of being alive. These moments feed her creative spirit and fuel her passion to make art more, and to make it weirder.
Arvid Malvik creates work that blends wood and electricity into one-of-a-kind pieces marked by raw energy and timeless texture. His art has been shown at the Wartrace Emporium, where he has shared his process with the local community.
As an artist, Arvid’s next goal is to bring joy to others through his creations. He continues to collect and incorporate found objects, making art because it nourishes his soul and connects him to something larger.
